Central Park Real Estate

The Central Park neighborhood is relatively new. Created by Ashcroft Homes, it's located in the River Ward area in the west end of Ottawa. There are just over 3,400 people who call it home. The Carlington neighborhood is to the north, with Baseline Road to the south. Between 2001 and 2006 the neighborhood's population doubled, and the expansion continues. All of the homes there were created in the late 1990s and early 2000s, making it among the newest neighborhoods in Ottawa. It was a wooded area until the homes were created, and still retains a comfortable feel with a lot of green space.

Celebration Park is located there, too, along with a high school and the Boy Scouts of Canada Museum. Additionally, there are a number of smaller parks in the area that can be enjoyed by both children and adults. If you like spending time in the outdoors, the Central Park area is a good choice. The newer homes are popular with young families because they don't require the level of maintenance that might be needed with homes that were built a long time ago. Singles and retirees also like the neighborhood, because the ease of upkeep on the homes is very appealing.

There is a shopping plaza in the community, and you can also find Westgate Shopping Center close by, along with the big chain stores located on Merivale Road.
