Discover the Benefits of the Integrated Relocation Program
The Federal Government Integrated Relocation Program (IRP) is a distinctive program which provides government entities—including the Government of Canada, the Canadian Forces and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police—with increased flexibility and additional assistance to properly relocate Members and Employees to new work locations.
The IRP provides personalized and actionable advice on a case-by-case basis to make relocation for you and your family as smooth as possible.
The program has centralized the administration process of your relocation to a single contractor to make your move straightforward and without any unnecessary complications. The only exception is for the physical removal of Household Goods and Effects, as stated under the Household Goods and Services Removal contract.
It begins with your Government employer authorizing your move to a new location. Once you have the authorization, Brookfield GRS administers their relocation according to one of the three directives/policies:
- Canadian Forces IRP Directive
- Royal Canadian Mounted Police IRP Policy
- National Joint Council IRP Directive
Each of the above policies offers extensive details around the different Integrated Relocation Program policies. If you have any questions surrounding any of these policies or would like to discuss your options for each, contact the Keller Williams agents on the Ottawa Real Estate team, and we’ll be happy to answer them.
Before diving into the registration process, it’s important that you understand your options. As outlined in the policies, there’s a diverse range of opportunities as well as regulations that must be followed during your relocation. It’s important that you take the time to understand what you can expect as well as what’s expected of you before you begin the relocation process.
Whether you’re looking to better understand the options available to you or you are ready to begin the registration process, the Keller Williams Ottawa Real Estate team is here for every step of your relocation. Contact us today to get the most from the program!
