What can you Expect with the Neighbourhoods found in Ottawa?

The Ottawa neighbourhoods are all very unique and provide something a little different. Whether you prefer to ride your bike to local areas or you want to use public transportation, there's a neighbourhood for just about anybody here.

ByWard Market

This neighborhood was founded in the 1820s and features many restaurants, unique stores and nightclubs throughout. This neighbourhood is packed with local artisans.

Downtown Rideau

This is a shopper's dream with all the great shops, retail outlets and restaurants. The neighbourhood is also known for the Arts & Theatre District and the culture found throughout.

Sparks Street Village

Found about a block from the Parliament Buildings, this neighbourhood is home to plenty of shopping and restaurant options. It's also known for some of the finest hotels in Ottawa and a few great historical sites.

Westboro Village

At Westboro Village, you will find a shopping district with plenty of unique boutique shops. This area also has a number of excellent restaurants spread throughout.

Quartier Vanier

This village is very similar to a downtown area and found on the eastern side of the city. It’s known for a large Francophone population and provides plenty of culture and good food throughout.

Beechwood Village

Found on the border of the Rideau River, this is a very exclusive area with the Rockcliffe Park found in the north. There are plenty of shops, stores, restaurants and so much more in Beechwood Village.

Chinatown

Located just outside of downtown, this area is a multicultural village with all types of unique shopping and entertainment. There are plenty of restaurants here serving Asian cuisine, as well.
