Those in America may be celebrating the comeback of French Toast Crunch, but Canadians didn't have to even deal with it being gone. This cereal was retired in 2006 in the United States, but has still been on the shelves in Canada. Here's a look at a few other favourite foods you can only get in Canada.

Jos. Louis

This cream-filled snack cake is a great type of snack, which you can only find in Canada. It's named after Joseph and Louis Vachon, the brothers that created it. It's not a healthy choice, but it will provide a great treat you just cannot find elsewhere.

Swiss Chalet Festive Special

This chicken dish is unlike any other because of the chalet sauce. A quarter chicken comes with a roll and mashed potatoes. This just cannot be found anywhere else and it's so delicious that many Canadians will put it on their list of favourites. Even some Americans come across the border for this type of chicken.

Coffee Crisp

A go-to chocolate bar for many, this great treat is found in many grocery stores within Canada. The mini-versions are found around Halloween time and even though this one has been found outside of Canada, it's not very popular outside the country. They have recently celebrated their 75th anniversary, as well. Once you bite into this snack, you will know why the Coffee Crisp is still very popular in Canada.

There are many other interesting snacks and foods only found within Canada. Whether you're looking for one of these or one of your other Canadian favourites, you will find them in many different locations throughout Ottawa. Canada has plenty of great foods and treats to offer to those looking to enjoy something from their homeland.
