Attraction Spotlight: Little Ray's Reptile Zoo

If you have kids, this is a must-see attraction in Ottawa for your family. There are plenty of great things to see at Little Ray's Reptile Zoo and kids love this place.

Little Ray's has been in business since 1995 and provides a place for birthday parties, school shows and more. You can enjoy the place on your own or during an event. This is also the site of the largest and most diverse outreach animal education program in the entire country.

The Reptile Zoo

You can expect to spend about two hours at the zoo and you will see plenty of great exhibits. Little Ray's has 25 permanent animal exhibits with some of the best reptiles in the area. They also have 20 other exhibits, which rotate every six months.

You can enjoy feeding some of the animals in the 3,000 gallon aquarium. They also have a nature center for learning about endangered species and other animals. With more than 150 animals found at the zoo, you'll find all kinds of fun here. Some of the animals you can expect to see include:

  • Rattlesnakes
  • Alligators
  • Pythons
  • Marmosets
  • Tarantulas
  • Cobras
  • And More!

This is one of the most unique experiences found on Ottawa and perfect for families to enjoy.

Location and More Information

The zoo is found at 5305 Bank Street in Ottawa. It's found right in between highway 417 and highway 416.

Little Ray's offers a membership for single parents, couples and families. The memberships range from $95 to $140 per year and provide discounts, along with free admission for an entire year.

Regular admission is $12.50 for adults and $48 for a family of four. The zoo is open from 10am to 4pm, Monday through Friday and from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.

There are regular feeding demonstrations throughout the day, as well.
